Meet our Founder
​Amber Shields

Amber Shields is a seasoned educator and leadership consultant with over a decade of experience in K-12 education and the nonprofit sector. She began her journey as a passionate Kindergarten and 3rd-grade teacher before advancing into leadership as an instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. Amber holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University.

With extensive experience in one of the largest school districts in the United States, Amber brings a unique understanding of the challenges and complexities faced by large urban school systems. Her expertise also extends to supporting smaller districts, enabling her to tailor solutions that meet the distinct needs of diverse educational communities. This versatility has made her a trusted partner for district and school leaders seeking practical, strategic, and results-oriented guidance.

Amber’s experience in education, coupled with her passion for creating lasting change, inspired her to found PM Consulting. With a strong belief in pathway maximization, PM Consulting is dedicated to helping high-potential leaders unlock their full potential and chart a sustainable course for growth. Amber offers personalized, results-driven consulting services to educational institutions and nonprofits that share her commitment to equity, innovation, and lasting impact.
